Ah, Spring Gold! Maybe the most misunderstood of all Triumph colors. I’m sure the original, slightly more olive-tinted paint job looked great parked in the Brady Bunch’s kitchen, but, let’s face it, it didn’t age particularly well. Most restorers (including this one) tend to favor a slightly more greenish hue, and for good reason.
This is a well sorted, beautiful example that has just run through our shop. Matching numbers, new carburetor, fully serviced. A great example of Triumph’s premier street bike – a single carb, a twin-leading shoe front brake, and a slightly larger gas tank, made the TR6R Tiger an excellent every day rider.
Even better with rose-tinted glasses. Just not Spring Gold-tinted glasses.
