Description

The Shotgun 650 defies categorization in both spirit and form. Its modular design enables it to switch between three modes—from single seater to double seater to luggage-carrying tourer—with ease. Each of its four unique colorways draws from the culture of customization, offering a canvas for self-expression for builders and beginners.

The Shotgun 650 is ergonomically optimized, with mid-set foot pegs, a low 795mm seat height and handlebars that are intuitively placed to work with the seat and footpeg position. Its tuned Showa suspension, 1465mm wheelbase and low center of gravity come together to make riding in traffic, on highways and down twisty back roads equally fun, without compromising on comfort.

Under the unshakable steel spine of the Shotgun 650, pounds our proven 648cc parallel twin engine, which is designed for real world usage with a strong mid-range and ample torque across the gears to keep the rider engaged. It’s a motorcycle that carries our pure motorcycling DNA, without being constrained by it, using its modular capabilities, neo-modern aesthetic and unique colors to break the mold and push the boundaries of what a Royal Enfield can be.

Inspired by custom. For custom.

The Shotgun is undeniably one of the best bikes RE has made to date.  Excellent handling, grunty motor, traditional ergonomics, and looks that come straight from a 1950s sci-fi comic book (somewhere between "retro" and "cyber punk").  Everything a rider wants, but sometimes what we want is... LESS?  A minimalist ride made more minimal with a gunmetal grey paint job and custom brown seat.  The bike that the factory should've made?  I don't know about that, but there's no denying that a simple paint job, a solo seat, and minimal accoutrements only help highlight what this bike is really all about: Riding Pure.

With a name taken from mythology, the basilisk is a hybrid creature, able to paralyze with its gaze.  What could be more fitting for a bike that stops you in your tracks?  A stone-cold killer, if you ask us.
