1974 Norton Commando Hi Rider
Polarizing, isn’t it? You love ’em or you hate ’em, but Norton’s take on the then-current US custom bike scene has inadvertently become a bit of a cult classic. What were they thinking? Well, it really does make total sense. Us Yanks have never left well enough alone – we dabble, change handlebars, swap out wheels, hack off exhausts, throw on whatever seat JC Whitney has on sale… you know, customize. The Hi Rider really is a fun bike to ride. Comfortable position, gets admiring glances from all those minivans you pass, sounds killer, you won’t see another one coming or going. There’s a bit of an attitude you have to have to ride it. How are you feeling today? Love it or hate it? I love it. In secret.
This one is clean and correct. Great condition, in storage for several years, she’s cleaned up well, has matching numbers and a clear title. Very cool.
