1970 Triumph T100R Daytona
Jacaranda Purple and Silver mini-Bonnie. The 500cc unit twin gained a second carburetor in 1967, the same year Gary Nixon won the bike’s namesake race. This 1970 model features the distinctive split-level paint scheme. In a sensible “if-it-ain’t-broke-don’t-fix-it” move (atypical of the times), the Triumph factory continued on with the unit 500 almost unchanged through 1972, proving the bike’s worth and the credibility of the original design. This bike underwent a full restoration a number of years ago (though shown mileage is believed to be original and correct), and it was previously featured in Buddy Stubbs’ museum.
Color: Jacaranda Purple and Silver
