1965 BSA A65T Thunderbolt
Stunning good looks on this older restoration of BSA’s single carb twin. The Thunderbolt often gets passed over in favor for its livelier sibling, the Lightning, but those in the know will attest to the virtues of this single carb, everyman’s model. An excellent example of a mid-60s, sensible “big bike,” the Thunderbolt didn’t give up anything in the looks stakes and only lost out in magazine shoot-outs and bench racing sessions. As a rider, the Thunderbolt did everyone its sportier brother would do, with better fuel economy, easier starting, and simpler maintenance. How can you go wrong?
Good numbers and titled, this is a great example of an oft-overlooked classic from Birmingham.
