Project Description

1965 Triumph Trophy Road Sports

PRICE: $18,750

Gorgeous restoration of this ’65 Triumph TR6SR.  In 1965, Triumph offered four variants of their famous single-carb Trophy model.  The SR was billed as the high performance roadster, having a slightly smaller tank than the standard home-market TR6 and raised handlebars for us Yanks.  Few can argue that the Burnished Gold and White paint scheme (separated by a single blue pinstripe) topped off the incredibly handsome machine with an uncharacteristically less-than-conservative flair.  In fact, it seemed perfectly suited for the sunny roads of idyllic California.  This matching numbers machine has undergone a frame-up restoration, including a total motor and transmission rebuild, gorgeous paint work, new wheels, and electronic ignition.
